NaNo Blues

Once again, I'm not doing NaNo this year. I don't know how people with full-time jobs do it! Being a college student, maybe I'm busier than I think I am, but I do not have time to write a novel this month. Next month, totally. But not now.

With the end of the semester wind-down (which isn't until December anyway...) all my professors are piling on work and projects and papers and things that make me sad. I haven't had a creative outlet in a long time, and it's making me anxious.

The only thing I've been doing is finishing off my herb garden and bringing everything in. I do need to take the rosemary to my grandmother's, but other than that the herb garden is in the garage ready for the winter.

I don't know, when I was in college, that was the time of my life with about the most time on my hands. Granted, I cut a lot of classes and eventually dropped out, but if you wait too long and get a full-time job and a family, its not going to get any easier.

What Deek says is true. BUT! You can't force art. You'll write when you're ready.

I am a writer as well. I find if I dont get time to do SOMETHING creative in the day, I start to lose my marbles... so it's a good thing I am a college student in a musical theatre program! :P :D ... my blog is all about me, my experience in my program, music, etc... wud love to connect and chat! Check out my blog! :)

Personally I don't get why Nano is in November. It's a terrible month for both school and holiday stuff. January or February would be better choices.

Exactly Strikethru. I don't get it either. I'd gladly take January over November. Maybe we should just start our own WriMo instead. If we cheat the system, we can still get the prizes!
